THREADBARE
This series of paintings explores the intrinsic qualities of the medium. Rather than concentrate on the qualities of paint, this theme to focuses on the qualities of the linen canvas. The canvas was not primed so it could be appreciated in its raw form. To emphasise the texture of the weave, some threads from the woof have been removed and others pulled into an undulating pattern.
